I started working with Alberto almost a year ago, and I have made tremendous progress. His teaching style is engaging and fun. We will always start the class with some conversation, but he will always remind you when its time to move on to grammar. He will make the most difficult topics fun with games and activities. Thanks to Alberto, I feel more at ease conversing in Spanish, and consider him as a true friend. I always look forward to my next Spanish class!

Alberto is a wonderful teacher. He intuitively knows what his students need. He pays attention to my weaknesses and designs lessons, games and activities that help me to learn in a fun and memorable way. Classes are a good mix of learning and conversation. He speaks slowly and clearly and knows when to push his students and speak faster. He does a great job of teaching, reviewing, and encouraging. Additionally, he is interesting to talk with, so it is easy to practice conversation with him. I highly recommended Alberto. I started taking Spanish classes with Alberto 9 months ago. I chose and then stayed with him for several reasons.
First of all, he's Mexican. My boyfriend is Mexican and his entire family is in Mexico. They make tremendous effort to speak English and to always make me feel welcome. I want to be able to communicate better with them, with as much colloquial Spanish as well.
Second, Alberto's English is excellent. I have taken a number of language classes over the years and, honestly, I find languages very difficult to learn to begin with. Having a teacher who speaks English has helped me with my frustration with myself when I'm having trouble remembering a word or conjugation.
Finally, Alberto is genuinely a nice person and a patient teacher. Between my crazy work schedule and family health issues, my ability to attend has been sporadic at times. He's flexible with my schedule changes and patient with reviewing everything again with me when I am able to get back to learning.
And somehow, despite all, I feel like I've both learned a ton and become more confident in both writing and speaking Spanish.
I wholeheartedly recommend learning Spanish with Mis Amigos.
